Katie from Tralee in Co. Kerry joined CFB while studying for her undergrad in music at Cork’s School of music. No one plays Rachmaninoff like this lady! 

Graduated from CIT Cork School of Music in 2018 with a first class Honour degree in Music studying classical piano.
Currently furthering her studies with a Masters in Performance under the tutorship of David Hayes.

She has worked with numerous bands as a session musician such as Sara Ryan (2019), The Light Runners (2019-2020), The Art Crimes Band (2018-2020) and The Love Movement (2019-2020).
Notable performances include playing in the Everyman for the Joni Mitchell Songbook and performing as part of Capella Lyrica choir for Sounds of a Safe Harbour festival.

Katie works as a music educator and accompanist in several schools throughout Cork. She also works as a sound designer and composer for media and is currently working as part of a team on a 2D arcade-style game titled Pineapple.
Katie writes her own compositions which are due for release in 2021.

 

James (Bass)

Every band needs a solid rhythm section and James is our man on bass. Hailing from Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary, he is undoubtedly one of Ireland's finest bass players and we are honoured to have him form part of our crew.

Part-time session musician since 2009.
Music Management & Sound CSN 2010 graduate.
Tech and musician with Red Entertainment 2012/2014.
Collaborator with numerous alternative bands such as Orca 2012, Horse 2015, Partholon 2018- present..Currently working on solo material along with new collaborations.

Former bands include the award winning tribute band, 'Spring Break' and the Marvels Currently working on arrangements with his father, Michael Coady, Patrick Kavanagh award winning poet and musician.

Ray (Drums)

CFB's newest member, hailing from Cork, Ray is the backbone of our band! Session musician and full time music teacher based in Cork, Ray is a huge asset to CFB.  

 

Orlaith (Trumpet)

Orlaith is undoubtedly the heart and soul of our brass section. Anyone who has ever seen a CFB show knows what a charismatic and talented musician this lady is.

Anthony (Guitar)

Copyright lawyer, musician, label-head, producer and band manager, Carrick-on-Suir man, now residing in Waterford City, Anthony keeps the show on the road, whether that be booking gigs or taking dodgy promoters to court. Loved and hated in equal amounts, it's certainly beneficial to have a lawyer with a business head taking care of our music business.

Dr. PHIL (Sound)

Dr. Phil from Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary and currently residing in the heart of Waterford City is a crucial member of the CFB team. Not only is Phil our bus & van driver, but he is our sound engineer, repair man and spiritual/craic guru. We would be nothing without this man! Phil also DJ's for Waterford's Open Temp Radio & the Cosmic Funk Band
